Have you ever noticed topics that are carried to forum after forum?

Like Hi/Bye threads are on almost every forum now. Not saying it is bad, just asking your thoughts.

I've seen alot of the same topics such as Ultimate chat threads, which usually say they are the same as a shoutbox. I've also seen alot of orientation topics.

yep.. No big deal to me. The same topic could be posted on 50 different forums and 50 entirely different conversations will take place.

The community on the board will dictate how a topic goes so just because you are discussing the same thing does not mean you will get the same replies to it so it don't matter really how many forums I see a thread on.

What theezy said.

I do create my own unique topics though, as it's always a good way to get into an interesting conversation.

I have this bad habit of placing every fun, unique topic I make on every forum I go on.

If topics start periodically turning up on my forum, I have an index of repeated topics that I link my members to. That way they can find the last active one. However if a topic gets too large, I just close it and open a new one.
