How often do you report a post? How long usually does it take from the time you reported to the time the problem was sorted? Have you ever dealt with a report? What did you do?

The report system is very useful in my opinion. I myself mostly only report posts that are spam, such as Spam bots's posts. Posts that are somewhat offensive I often do not report, as you do not know how it was intended and not how it is taken by the other user.

As an Moderator on a very large, busy forum (Support Forum from FreeForums.org), find it very useful if users report post. As we get quite a few Spam Bots on that forum it can be a time-exhausting job. If users report a 'spam post' I can quickly find them and delete/move them.

I myself also started Repping people for reporting posts, to make sure they will do it again 🙂.

That's a friendly idea. If you rep a person for reporting a post, that'd be like saying thank you for reporting it and helping me do my job.

Anyway, I have had to report posts on other forums before, but I have yet to do with reported posts on my own forum. Hopefully that'll never happen, but if it's a spambot, I will automatically delete their posts, but if it's a human spammer, it will go in the forum thrash, then if the user tries to deny the account of events, I will have proof right in front of me that what they did was wrong.

I love people who report posts here 😛

I always reported posts that seemed to be a bit akward, and the response time is always fast! (FP)

I usually report posts on forums as i like it when people do it here as it is not always easy to check every forum and when people report posts it does make it alot faster for it to be dealt with.

I have dealt with hundreds here at FP over the years. It tells us if there are any reported posts so we are quick to deal with them as the next staff member who refreshes will be able to deal with it (if they have the right permissions anyway).

I don't report them on my forum as of course I can deal with them on sight, however on other forums where I'm not a Mod, I do report posts against the rules, very useful tool.
