General Discussion Forum with a Twist

Republic of Voices is a General Discussion Forum but has a very unique twist that really makes it stand out.

Normally the Administration of a forum makes all the decisions. But on Republic of Voices that power is taken from the Admins and given directly to the members. With the use of the Petitions system, members can make the forum anything they want. As long as they get enough support.

If you haven't yet, come check out RoV! With only being opened a little over 2 days, we've already passed 500 posts, 60 threads, and have 20 members. We'd love to have new people to talk to and interact with as well. We also want to hear what you have to say about our forum and how we can improve!

We have passed 700 posts, 70 threads, and 20 members.
Not only that, but we are in the process of selecting a new theme based on member feedback. If you want to be included, be sure to come check it out.
 
Thanks for the input! The Category names are a bit different, but we are trying to have some creativity. But they can always be changed through the use of the Petitions section.

Well, the category names through me off and that's why I didn't join.

Oh sorry, I misread that earlier a bit too. I was thinking you mean the sections, or are those bad as well?
I never really did pay much attention to the category names, as the person I am running this with made the categories. I'll talk with him and we will work on coming up with some new names for the categories. Thanks again for the input.

The people from the forums I've asked really didn't feel like they needed to be changed, and since this is really based off of their opinions I felt I probably shouldn't change them However, I did add a description to each one, so hopefully they are a bit less confusing. Sorry if you don't like them still, but there isn't much I can do.

On a different note, RoV only needs one more member to join and we'll be at 30 members! We are also close to 900 posts and just passed 80 threads!
I am very pleased with how far we've come in just a few days, and I'd love to see some of you there.

Some recent notable changes:
Close to deciding on a new and permanent theme. - Added new icons to the one we are expecting to choose.
The Weekly Voice Approved - With the use of the Petition System, the members approved a weekly news letter to be made for RoV. Along with a new section being added for this, members will be able to submit articles and other things for the news letter. Will be implemented soon.

Recent Popular Petitions:
Guide Section - Suggested by Blazeth. Would add a section dedicated to different types of guides.
Blogs - Suggested by tbbm. Petition for the addition of a blogging system.

FP is definitely awesome.

RoV is doing great lately! I'd love to thank those here who have helped support us.
We've recently implemented a new theme.
Earlier today we surpassed 1,000 posts!
Later today we should pass 100 threads!
And we have 32 members!
 
Our members have made a total of 1,325 posts in 120 threads.
We currently have 39 members registered.

We had a great day today on RoV, and there is still a lot of day left! Come on over and check us out. We'd love to hear your input and ideas. See on RoV!
 
Republic of Voices' daily activity has sky rocketed the past few days! With this increase in activity, we are zooming past milestones left and right.
We have already passed:
2,000 posts
150 threads
and 40 members!

The current members are awesome, but they, as well as me, would love to see new faces. So please, come check out RoV. I promise you won't be sorry you did.

I'd also like to note that our newest Moderator (who is only temporary), Slidin, will be posting with updates on RoV in this thread for the next week or so.
