So, I just bought a new 13" Macbook Pro that features a Retina Display, and I am absolutely amazed by how different things look on it. I'm now looking at my two laptops side by side, my Macbook Pro on the left, and my Macbook Air on the right (also a 13" laptop) and the colors on the MBP are so much more vivid. At equal brightness, the colors on the MBP are a lot darker, and after looking at the MBP, the colors on the MBA look a little bit washed out. 😛
Another interesting difference that is perhaps quantifiable is that, due to the incredibly high resolution on the MBP, many of the apps look a lot better. I can tell that Google Chrome has much thinner lines separating the search bar with the tabs, etc. Overall, it's like using a completely different version of the OS, even though both laptops have Yosemite (the latest OSX build) installed on them.
Have you ever used a retina display? Do you have one? Will you ever use an ugly (aka, non-retina) display again?
