Do you have any retina devices? Do you prefer them over traditional screens? Why?

I have a retina display on my iPhone 6 and my MacBook Pro. Both look pretty awesome! 😀

Yeah... The Retina on my Macbook Pro is pretty bad ass. It's crisp and clear, almost as if I were blind and now I can see everything. It's not pixelated like regular screens. I really love it.

To preface non-retina displays are good or sufficient only until you actually experience a retina one. Once you go retina, you never go back.

It's fantastic and given the choice, I would never move away from it. I would never go back to the MBA's screen willingly as all my devices now have retina displays. Shortly after getting used to the retina display on my rMBP, any other displays have since then continued to look grainy to me. The retina display is basically a godsend — especially to graphic designers and photo editors. The retina display is akin to the SSD in a way that they are both non-negotiable for me.

The MBA is still a stellar notebook if you're only after portability with some extra power, but if you don't mind a slightly underpowered version packed with a gorgeous retina display and sleeker design; the new 12" MacBook is perfect. That being said, I do admit that the price is too steep right now considering certain areas like the ridiculous 480p FaceTime camera, so I'd recommend waiting for the second generation that should come out some time next year. I'd assume they're smart enough to boost it up significantly.

I don't have any retina devices currently but it seems like I need to try one. 🙂

I want a retina screen so badly! I've seen them at Best Buy with some computers and phones, and I came back home and was like, "haha...wow....."

It's definitely something to think about when building your own computer or something, it's also another reason why I want an iMac. 😛

I've yet to own an device with has this feature. Sounds really awesome, though. Technology just keeps getting better and better. The quality must be amazing. 😀

I'd most likely pick up an iPhone, if I were to get a Retina-enabled device. 😛

lol I want one too. I found a pretty good deal at BestBuy (21", $850) so I may go with that. I've never had an Apple laptop/desktop but they're pretty awesome from what I have read.
