Does anyone here still play older generations of video games, specifically the Xbox/PS2/GameCube days or older?

I still frequently play my Super Nintendo. I absolutely love some of those old Final Fantasy titles. I also recently have started playing the GameCube again, and I still love that system. I don't get how some people considered it a "flop" with some of the classics on there.

The only retro game I often play is Crash Bash on PS1 with my dad. Even though I own plenty of other multi-player games, that one is still the most fun I have when playing with him.

Otherwise, I do go back and play older games on my PS2 and PS1, but it's usually when I have a craving for it, like for most games that are a couple of years older or more. There's never a specific old game I go to, as it depends on what I fancy. Games I've gone back to have been Jak 2 and Jak 3 (I'd have done the first if it had the option to select a point to start in the game like the aforementioned games do), Rayman 3, Burnout 3, Area 51 is a recent one I went back to and that was really dated.

It's basically whether I want to go back and replay an old game I love, or I get curious if a certain game is still good or if time hasn't been kind to it. I find it awesome to pull out an old game and find nostalgia isn't what made me think it was good, but that it was simply just a great game.

Most games I play are definitely retro, though I don't consider the Gamecube, PS2, or Xbox retro. :V Anything post 1999 is considered retro to me, and I'd rather play one of my four Sega Genesis over my Xbox 360. Sonic has always been my favorite gaming franchise and while I do enjoy the modern games, I have a soft spot for the classics as they were the games I grew up with. Plus older games are more challenging than most modern games, not saying all games are easy but it just seems like they made games easier now days than they were in the past.

Still play Delta Force from wayyyy back in the blocky time of FPS's.

I still enjoy the Nintendo 64 games often enough. Just today I played some Super Smash bros. with my friend. Other titles I like:
- TLoZ: Ocarina of Time
-TLoZ: Majora's Mask
- Jet Force Gemini
- Perfect Dark
- GoldenEye

Then there is the NES
- Rygar
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario bros. 3
- Yoshi cookies

The SNES and DK Country is very fun.
I still have to play thorough tLoZ:A Link to the Past.

The 3DS sure is helping to bring the nostalgia home too. I have got from the VC almost every Zelda game I could, plus Dr. Mario, Kirby, etc. :3

The only game I still play on the ps2 is Timesplitters Future Perfect.

I still turn on my Atari the most, but sometimes the others I own. I got to get a little Kaboom!, Stampede, et cetera in with the good old paddles & joysticks. Most popular Nintendo, Sega, or Sony things tend to have a remastered (so to speak) version or something, It is much easier playing them than working your old systems into my already cluttered TV stand holding all my most current systems.

I absolutely love Final Fantasy 6! It's so underrated when compared to other games in the series, especially FF7. I should play it again sometime. ^_^

We need to be friends. 😀 I love FF7 too! 🙂

The GameCube is one of my favorite consoles of all time. To me, I consider it a great success, rather than a flop as some people say.

I really enjoyed the PS2. I played games like Xenosaga, Devil May Cry, and Chaos Legion.

I still play the PlayStation 2 and some Game Boy Advanced titles. Not sure if that's considered retro, though. GBA I play a lot of Pokemon and Mario Kart, also the remake of Super Mario Bros. 3 (Can't beat the classics!) as for the PS2, since you can play PS1 games on there, I still play a lot of Rugrats: Search for Reptar, Motorhead, CTR: Crash Team Racing, etc.

I used to play games like Final Fantasy 7 and Legend of the Dragoon on the PSONE and I play games like Xenosaga on the PS2.

I did used to play games on my Gamecube like Zelda: Wind Waker, Ocarina of time, Zelda: Four swords and Nightfire. Those were some great games. I still have the Gamecube but I lost the scart, so I can't play it anymore. I should just order one online, but I can't be asked. xD

For PS2, I still have Resident Evil: Code Veronica. That is one scary game which made me jump numerous times. My younger brother has the console and game.

Love retro games. Hunted down a Sega CD just so I could play the Lunar games. XD Those I play the most probably.

Well, I do not play the old game anymore, and I also play less game these days. I do not have many time to play although I love them.

I been playing Digimon World (PS1) and Turok Evolution (PS2), I may start playing some Jurassic Park Warpath (PS1).
