Demo Account for Reviewer (Forums Only): User: Demo Pass😀emo123 (It's a blog so you shouldn't really need it but if you log in there is more features, ranking system, private message etc etc)
Opening Date: 14th june.
Additional Notes: Been running for about 1 week and already got 4 article writers, 1 moderator, 1 promoter(Me) 1 coder. Still in desperate need for more article writers as I can promote on twitter with 49,000 followers and bring more traffic in, then I should be able to pay staff.

Blog about weird/funny news is our main subject but we have all sorts of articles.

I don't know if I am meant to send the fp cash somewhere or you just take them off, not too sure.

Pre-Launch Review

Appearance

In terms of Blog appearance, you have kept it simple, I like this. There isn't too much going on to take away from the content that you have, this is often something that is done poorly on blogs, you have done well to avoid this. My only concern here is that it is perhaps just too simple and borderline dull. The background is one shade of browny/grey and the rest of the forum is majority white, try injecting a little bit of colour into it to make the forum feel more welcoming.

Layout

The layout was as I would have expected from a blog, the front page contains all the recent activity and from there there are tabs to take you to the relevant categories. You have a tab for discussion forums, when you click on it, it says there were no forum topics found. Is there any need for this tab as it effectively takes you to nothing and clutters up the nav bar. The blog is very easy to navigate and find what you would like however, so well done on this area.

First Impressions and Interest

Upon entering the blog, first impressions are good. It doesn't look like an 8 day old blog, it looks fairly established and there is enough content there for people. There are one of two things I need to point out though: the first being ad-positioning, you have them on the top right of the blog, right in the middle of the blog and at the middle/bottom right of the blog, I feel you should try and concentrate all your ads in one area and not have them spread across the blog, it puts me off. If you can, I would try to remove the ads from the top right altogether because this is the first thing that caught my eye, it shouldn't, content should be what grabs me in.

Content

In terms of content, you are a new blog so I won't criticise the lack of content in the gaming section, this is however something you will need to build on as the blog grows in popularity. What content you do have on the blog is quite good and gave me a laugh and left a smile on my face, which i'm pretty sure is the whole point of your blog. You are doing well in this area, you just need to make sure that you consistently update the blog.

Words from the Reviewer
Overall this is a very young blog just on the beginning of a journey. All the groundwork for a very successful blog has been put in place, all it needs now is some hard advertising and commitment from you to see it succeed. If you implement some of the changes I have suggested then you will be well on your way to becoming a successful blog.

The discussion forums are for when you have made a user group not an all site forum, as if you would of saw the staff forums there is more content. As we have all staff in a user group called "staff".

Ah ok, this makes more sense to me now. From a guests point of view however, it may appear off putting to see something with no content 🙂.

We can only give out full stars. Any further feedback you have should be posted in our feedback thread 🙂. Thanks 🙂

Where is this feedback page you speak of as I am very pleased with the 3 stars, I have saw people with pretty good websites/forums and blogs get reviewed and only come out with 1 or 2 stars, I always think of the work I do as "not so good" or "I can do better" and that I don't really do good things if you understand what I mean. Just proves that when someone else looks at my work they don't think of the same things I do, Thanks🙂
