Extra Notes: The forum is pretty much brand new with no promotion being carried out as of yet. I am pretty content with the styling of the forum, with a few tweaks being needed, but this is generally it. I am simply adding content at the moment before I go in to full on promotion mode. It may be too soon to request a review, I just kind of want to see what you think of it so far and if there is anything I need to majorly improve. Thanks in advance.

First Impressions:
When I first viewed your site, I was expecting to see something sports related so I was surprised to see that it was video game related instead. Just out of curiosity, may I ask how you came up with the title for the site? The only bad thing I have to say is that title might be a little deceiving. People might come to your site thinking it's sports related (like I did) and they'll be disappointed when they realize it's video game related (unless they happen to be big video gamers). Besides maybe changing the name, you may also want to consider adding an "About Us" somewhere on the site that tells people what your site is all about. Most places will usually add it to the bottom but you can also add a widget on the side so that people won't have to go looking for it. I did like the initial page of your site though. I like seeing the different articles you have there for gaming before proceeding to the actual forum area. That will give guests and members the chance to catch up on news about the video game industry before heading to the forum to actually discuss it. Very nice idea!

Originality:
Unfortunately, video game forums aren't that rare. I know you said you are working on getting some posts made on the forum.....I would really work hard on that prior to opening the forum up to the public. I'm not trying to sound like a Negative Nancy here but most guests want to see places that are warm and inviting. With very little posts on your forum, it'll look anything but. If you continue to work on that, as you've mentioned, then that will help tremendously. Also, you'll need to do something that will help you stand out from the crowd and set you apart from all of the other forums with a similar niche` as yours. Whether that is having some kind of contest, giveaway or some other fun event, that is totally up to you. I don't what is within your ability to do or not do. But you can come up with something fun to do on your forum while you are adding content to the forum.

Poor

Thing you liked best about forum: I like the fact that I can read articles about the video game industry prior to entering the forum area.
Thing you liked least about forum: Originality isn't a strong suit for your site.

Overall Mark:

I think with a little improvement, you can take your site a lot better prior to opening it up to the public and beginning the advertising phase. I wish you the best of luck, both for you and your forum.

Thanks for this, I really appreciate it!

If you are unaware of eSports, then I can understand how that may be confusing. eSports is the term used for competitive gaming, which is what my site is dedicated to and the niche; it isn't another simple gaming forum, I already run one of those. This is dedicated purely to competitive gaming, hence why there are only a few dedicated game forums on there. The users that will be interested in the forum/the ones that I'll be advertising to will know what eSports is, so I doubt that there will be confusion; at least I hope not! The about us page is something I need tow work on and will definitely get that implemented.

In regards to your originality point, I think if you are looking at this as a general gaming forum I can understand where you're coming from. As I stated, this is a niche withing gaming, being focused on the competitive side of it, which there really aren't any booming communities out there. As you say, I need to fill up the forums before I pursue advertising, and due to the nature of the site, giveaways and tournaments are perfect promotional tactics.

I hope this helps and may even change your opinion a little. Thanks for taking the time to look through the site!
