First Impressions: (10 out of 15)
The first thing I noticed was that I couldn't find anything regarding news about football when I first looked at your forum. Until I got all the way down to the bottom of your forum that is. I would take the section that has the "Coaches Office", the "Trainer's Office", the "Locker Room" and the "Practice Field" in it and move all of that to the top of the forum. You wouldn't want guests to miss out on important information and news about football. The other things that I noticed in my first impression of your forum are all mentioned elsewhere in this review so I'll let you read on rather than mentioning them twice.
Site Structure: (10 out of 15)
I like how you have the different conferences broke down into it's own section. I also noticed that within each section you have listed all the teams that are in that conference. Many people are a fan of a specific conference and/or team and it should be easy to find since you've made it easy to find. I did notice that you have some widgets on the right hand side. I would take the "Recent Posts" and the "Forum Statistics" widget and move them up to the very top. You want guests to see your activity when the first look at your forum.
Design Quality: (10 out of 15)
I like the banner at the top of the forum. It goes along with the niche` of the forum very well. However, I don't like all of the empty white space on both sides of the forum though. Is there some way you can stretch the forum out a little bit to fill in some of that white space? Or maybe you can fill in that white background with something so it doesn't look quite so empty?
Originality: (10 out of 15)
While I've seen several sports forums, I never saw a forum that was strictly focused on college football. Now, I know your forum just officially opened to the public on July 1st but it is important for you to create content that goes along with that niche` you have there on your forum. You (and any staff members) will have to begin by creating some of the content yourself. You can also request a package from the
Package Team here at Forum Promotion. Another idea is that you can go to the exchange area here at FP and do exchanges with other individuals in order to boost activity on your forum.
Overall Mark: (40 out of 60)
Overall, not bad for a forum that was just released to the public 12 days ago. With some hard work, I think you can succeed and really go far. Good luck to you and your site!
