Hey folks.

The site has been going for roughly 5 years and has unfortunately been through a lot of hardship during that time period, although now we seem to be more stable. Unfortunately there’s not an awful lot of activity and I am aware there are some slight bugs still present on the website, however, if anybody has some constructive criticism or feedback regarding Forum Authority it would be absolutely great if you can share with me below.

The forum names are easy to read so that's very good. I'm wondering why you have the About Us at the bottom? There is so much blank space around the logo at the top but it could just be my browser showing it that way? Pages are fast to load and I really like that you have a Daily Post Goal. I haven't seen that yet on forums so that's pretty cool 🙂

would you say most of the forum text is easy to read or is it just a forum names?
We want the about us to be present on the website however not out there per say. The logo should be displaying a nice black patterned background to contrast with the logo itself. Thank you for the comments, if there's anything else you personally I think I should add then please do let me know.

Initial impression:

1) Site speed is slow for me, i am from India.
2) The sub-forum url colors are so dull i am not able to make out the forum names.
3)The space between the Logo can be reduced which will look nice.
4) And for me the search bar is out of alignment (screenshot attached).
5) The avatar size can be reduced a little.
6) A mobile theme will surely help in better browsing experience. I know few responsive themes which are free and there is a plugin named go-mobile (i think) for mobile view.

Hi there.

Thanks for your comments I will do my best to speed up the page as best as I can. I will look into reducing logo space. I will also be fixing that search input alignment. I will also be making the theme responsive do you think that will resolve the issue with the unclear text.

Sorry i am not sure about that, there are many who are experts with MyBB they can help you. I think just changing the color of the text to while or something brighter might help. Try these CSS changes and see how it feels for you.

That's indeed true, however, is it just that specific text that's too dark or is there any other parts

The site is probably one of the best dark styles I've seen in a long time. You should take your time on this but possibly if you ever did have a matching light style that would be a good idea. I like the uniqueness of the layout. The header is very nice and the icons are great. Plus the forum posts seem to draw you in with the old school style how the post bit is up top. There's not much for me to criticize to be honest. The mobile theme looks good too. But I may suggest you may possibly want to also design the navigation to fit a tablet like the iPad. Designing responsive sites for a tablet is a lot less stressful than mobile. It's pretty much the same thing except you would just narrow it down and possibly give an icon to the username where the panel is. Also might make some of the columns collapse maybe at 2 widgets to a column. But don't stress over that. It's much easier to setup than regular mobile.

Hi there, thank you very much for the kind compliments on the feedback regarding our new mobile theme. I will be working to get out the tablet theme as soon as possible, however, in the meantime the site should make itself responsive to that already. 🙂
