Pros I like the fact you have at least tried to have a unique logo. It's good you are looking at getting a proper domain name but you should have had it before you opened last year and have to credit you for still keeping it going after 6 months even though its not yet taken off.
Cons Right to be honest with you, your forum gives me the impression you are a novice forum owner so I hope that my comments below will help you see it from another persons point of view and it helps you site to succeed.
The first thing that I don't really like is the logo ( I know you said it should look like that but), it is the first thing a visitor to your site sees and it is rank amateurish, it is something that should give a good first impression so look at getting a better one done plus most logos are designed with the theme in mind not just slapped on top like yours is. Moving on the theme is very off putting, while I understand the reason behind the character in your back ground the whole theme is badly designed, due to your background image it makes the forum look a mess, if you are going to have a static background then you make sure you center part of your style has solid colours. The colour scheme you have is garish and does not appeal to me. My thought is you need to go back to the drawing board and get a better more thought out phpBB style, I work on phpBB.com for the styles team so happy to help you with what needs fixing if you are still learning.
Next I don't feel the need for the news bit at the top of the forum index, its unsightly and looks very badly planned out, the different colours and font sizes does not look nice or appealing to potential guest, you need to remember a guest will make their mind up about a forum within in 30 seconds so the first impression is everything, this is something you site fails on. Also I am not a fan of chat boxes on forum indexes, I have seen too many sites over last 10 years fail because of this feature, if you insist on having it on your index make sure it's at the bottom and not viewable or accessible to guests, this will help stop it taking away posts from your forum. Your side bar is pointless it does not add anything to the forum and takes up space, half of what is in it, can be seen at the bottom of the page and the rest adds nothing of value to your forum. I would remove it if I was you. Also you should look at making sure all forums have a description as how is a user going to know what the forum catergory is for without a description?
Activity is shocking to say the least, the fact you have been open since 15th of November last year and yet only got 263 posts is really bad and needs serious addressing as to why your forum is failing as without fresh posts & content daily you site will never get off the ground, you and your staff should be posting every day, new posts and topic. Most sites theses days don't open with less then 500. You need to look at getting you staff together and work out where you go from here and look at ways to start re-building your site. Lastly and a tad off topic, the Rape avatar will offend a lot of people and does not give a good impression on the sort of people running the site, I don't know the meaning of it but showed 6 different people to get their thoughts and they all felt it was offensive.
Final/General Thoughts I struggled to really find anything positive about your forum. I have been doing forums for 11 years and your site has got the basics wrong in my honest opinion, I tried to be constructive and give you pointers where at all possible and I hope you will listen and take on board what I have said and work at you site.
You should be proud of... You are looking for others views on your site and you are looking at getting a TLD
You really need to work on... Everything, starting with the logo and style and then work from there.
