I've been waiting to see if mike showed up to reply. don't know if you asked him if he wanted cause he's more familiar with the forum or the member.

I'll go ahead and add the tag. and wait a little longer. but, if no else replies, i should have this done by tomorrow. but i always ask for a 48 time window in case something comes up.

First Impressions - (Out of 20)

The forum's got a great vibe to it upon my arrival. The banner is wicked, in a good way. And the forum's skin and theme work great to compliment the banner. Looking through the site more, was very impressed on how active the main theme of your forum, Dsiturbed, really is. That's always a plus.

The forum new/old icons look great, and easy to differentiate the two.

I would consider changing your top category from "Disturbed Message Board Center" to something a little more formal, like "DisturbedMB Announcements Center" ... i know message board is part of the forum's title, but when it's spelled out, just makes it sound generic, ( ex/ if that was my forum ... brawl domain message board center ) it sounds too plain, like a default title or something.

And, glancing through some boards, some of the sub-board titles are kinda basic. which there's not much that needs to be said, just spice it a little. The specific cd label in the disturbed sections are fine, i'm referring to news, sports, etc....

Site Layout - (Out of 20)

The forum, itself, is very well structured and organized, to a certain degree. I like everything where you have placed, except there are a few suggestions I'd like to make.

When i registered, and introduced myself, at first i didn't think there was a new members board until i scrolled to the bottom. It's not hard to find, at all, but i would suggest having it up top, directly under your feedback/suggestions board. you always want that to be new members' first stop, and your active members, as well, to help welcome those new members.

Under the Media Board, you have sports listed in the board description as a topic of discussion, when it has it's own Sub-Board under the Genral discussion board. This may be rather confusing to some, and i would actually suggests, taking the time to make Sub-Boards for ALL your genres listed under media, then move genre related topics into those sub-boards. This will give that section, which i'm sure is busy, a more organized, and easily accessible approach.

Forum Statistics - (Out of 20)

Your stats are very impressive in my view. I know how hard it is when running a forum based on one angle of a theme. You didn't go with music in general, but with one single band , and have brought it this far. Great job. the member base is solid, and post count is very much worth commending on.

The active users lists insures dailty activity, and as said, was refreshing to see every topic refreshed from different users, especially in the disturbed sections of the board.

It's work, i know, finding your target audience, getting them to actually click your link to give you a chance, and decide if your forum is the right one for them to even sign up. Great work on finding huge fans of Disturbed, and keeping them entertained for this long. i'm sure you're gonna be doing much better and bigger in time.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)

I honestly believe you have a strong staff team supporting your forum, in moderating and keeping the site active. One thing i did like was going through the intros board, and seeing how all staff got involved with welcoming new members.

There seems to be an average ratio from staff to members ... but i might suggest adding one more mod to the team, just to ensure a bid of confidence that there will be a member of staff on at most times.

Spelling and Grammar - (Out of 20)

Nothing major, but browsing through, seem to be some very shortened, brief replies, through out the general & new members board. Like quicky replies, that really don't add much to discussion, and the next replier does the same. Plus noone hardly uses any punctuation in those short replies. 😀 But that's about it. No real biggy.

As for board titles and descriptions go, everything loooks really good. I did make some previous suggestions on changing some titles and descriptions, but speeling and grammar look very proper.

Final Remarks:

Very great and active forum, especially when it target one main theme from a general genre. I like the activity across all the forum, you've got a great fpoundation, and can see these forum picking up serious momentum in the days to come.

What was most liked about the website/forums:

The overall look and design, with a complimentary banner. The members and staff's strong support for the forum.

What was disliked most about the website/forums:

It would probably have to be the brief and short posts i read in some of the introductions board. there's other parts pf the forum to have those conversations. Leave that section for more genuine posts, to make the new members feel more welcomed, and they are worth the members time for better, and more broader discussions.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website?

I signed up, myslef, but i'm not really into the music. I use to love the genre, but my love for music has seem to diminish, and rarely keep up with today's music. But for Disturbed music fans, you really won't find a better environment, with some of the biggest hardcore fans, eslewhere.
