Your Forum Review

First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)
I really like the light and airy look of your forum. The gradient background is very pretty and looks very sky-like. I also really like you banner. (Although I'm not quite sure what "Something Icy Is Brewing!" means.)The font and reflection effect really good. It's very professional looking. I also appreciate the fact you have a favicon. A lot of forums lack one, but they are nice to have, especially for bookmarking. One thing I didn't like in your skin though would be the little sidebar next to posts. It's in this sort of format:
"
DirTek has made 35 posts
DirTek has 30.00 cash
[Donate]
DirTek has 0 rep
"
I don't see the advantage of that. It's much easier to quickly glance and read when it's like,
"
35 posts
30.00 cash
[Donate]
0 rep
"
I mean, their username is at the top there, no need to repeat it a full 3 times.

The only other gripe is that the skin isn't fluid. So, on high-resolution monitors your forum is going to be tiny, and the background is going to take up more space. Any skin nowadays should be fluid.

I did like the Link Jumble. That's a cool visual promotion technique.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
*yawn* Your forum is the generic promotion forum layout. Community stuff, services, admin discussion forums, and then general discussion forums. I really wish there would be a promotion forum that would break this trend. I mean, every darn promotion forum has the exact same type of forums. Compare your forums to FP's forums for example. Strikingly similar. Much like a bunch of others. I will admit you do have one or two unique services, but all they are are link services. If you have too many of those, then the probability of someone getting a click gets lowered. I think your forum should dare to be different. How? That's up to you. But running with the crowd isn't always the best option.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)
You've been open roughly 4 or so months. For that time, 11,000 posts is very very good. That's at least a few thousands posts on average every month. All of your forums had a good amount of posts in them, and you seem to be active at all parts of the day. That's very good. Definitely keep up the good work. Your graphics tutorial section seems to be lacking, well, tutorials. 😛 It only has a few. You should try to get a few people to contribute there.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)
I looked at the review service first. There was no backlog at all, but I saw a ton of reviews where someone who tagged it said they couldn't complete it, and that happened quite often. While there were more in-line requests, the package team seemed more on the ball. Regardless, your entire staff team seems active and willing to help around the community. You as administrator do very well in getting the requests finalized and all the cash deducted on time. Overall nice job.

    Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)
I did notice a few things.
"The source of the community, suggest updates, improvements to our services or share your opinions and feedback." didn't really make sense to me at first, but then I got it. I think it would be more correct if it were like, "The source of the community; suggest updates, improvements to our services, or share your opinions and feedback."
"Looking to see how your forum is rated from the public? Request a review and our review staff will give you a detailed review on what they think of your forum and how you can improve it." should be, "Looking to see how your forum is rated from the public? Request a review, and our review staff will give you a detailed review on what they think of your forum and how you can improve it."
"The Community Chain is a great way to promote your Community. Simply request the service and your Community will be put into a chain, moving from the bottom of the Chain to the top!" should be, "The Community Chain is a great way to promote your Community. Simply request the service, and your Community will be put into a chain, moving from the bottom of the Chain to the top!"

I think you get the idea. Those were very minor, though.

    Total Score - 85 (Out of 100)

Final Remarks: Your forum is one of the few promotion forums that can do VERY well.

What was most liked about the website/forums: Pretty much everything.

What was disliked most about the website/forums: Generic layout.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website? There would be nothing to stop me.

Thanks for the compliments.

The "Something Icy is Brewing" isn't normally there, it's just something that im planning for Christmas, and it builds up the suspense 🙂

The "has made" and what not is just something to be different, it seems a lot of people complain when things are the same so I tried to change it. I also made a poll on whether or not the users wanted it like that, and it had more positive results then negative ones.

I am also pretty sure the skin is FLUID, will have to check on that.

Actually the layout is based on importance in regards to the board, obviously the community stuff such as announcements, suggestions etc. are the most important, then the services (remember it's related to the forum), then user-own services and finally general chat. Links services work, I mean what truely unique services does FP have that aren't link services, after all promotion is about linking and getting your name out there 😉

It is different, maybe not in the concept but the way it is run is, for example instead of saying "Thanks for requesting, cash deducted" it's actually detailed, same with rejected service requests 😉

You can't compare every promotion forum review you do to FP, just remember FP wasn't the first to do the same also.

Cheers. I try to be online as much as possible. About the tutorials, well that's nothing that I can control, the resources are there and people may post tutorials as they please, not much I can do, I try to post as many as I can, but it's not easy to control the forum while trying to make tutorials.

The reviews that were tagged and then not completed were either because the person had to go on holidays or was away which is completely understandable, although all requests had been completed, it may have just taken a day, and this has only happened once or twice, it's not a regular thing.

The package team was actually doing bad in the past, but now their a good bunch 🙂

Cheers :great:
