First Impressions - (Out of 20)
When I 1st saw the forums, I didn’t like the banner, I could barely read the text
in the banner. I would suggest getting a new one created from the graphic
request forum once it comes back online. i would make it fit the width of the
forum because it the moment it doesn’t and i don’t think it looks very
professional, it looks like a little kid just quickly made that in Photoshop. The
banner should be a great image as that is the 1st thing people see when they
go to your forums.
General Gadgets category into the phone and pda’s forum.
I would do this because it’s not a big subject and does need its own category.
This will also give you a few less forums, there is no point having a forum for a
subject it’s going to get less than 10 topics.
Rules & Other Important Points can be merged with News and
announcements
I don’t think there needs to be two forums for this, you can just make the rules
and other important info as a sticky or an announcement in that forum.
Feedback/Suggestion & Help and Support
I would just combine the feedback and support forums as they can both be
posted in the same forum rather than having two forum as people may get
confused and not sure where to post there thread.
Introductions
I would move the introductions to the forum overview category as that’s the
first category your new members will see and can introduce themselves to the
forum once they have read the news and announcements about your forum.
Testing Area
I would move the testing area to the old topics and garbage area, but would
rename garbage to archive as it looks and sounds better than calling a forum
of topics garbage.
Tips, Tweakz and trix
I would move these merge these forum with the gadgets and computer forums
as I don’t think there needs to be a separate forum for category and forum just
for tips, tweaks and tricks.
Graphics Section & codes and coding
I would merge these two forums and call it computer Arts and graphics and
just make a graphic request forum inside the computer arts forum as you will
get more people posting on computer arts than posting just codes.
Technology Planet and Gamers Life
These two forums should really be merged as they are about the same thing
and there is no reason to have two forums of the same thing.
You have 80 members registered, 352 topics and 1682 posts (a time of
posting this review).
For the amount of members you have and the amount of forums you currently
got I would of expected you to have double the amount of posts you currently
got.
What I would do to improve your current statistics is;
Advertise on a number of promotional forums and using all there services like
banners ads, packages, link jumble (some forums do other this) post and
member exchange. Just do everything just to get your link out there and what
you offer and then people will start joining and posting.
There is currently 6 staff members on yours forums, this is a good
number considering your have 80 members but I’m not sure you need a second
admin on the forums and there is not a lot of active members posting in my
opinion.
Your forum looks well moderated but that maybe because your forum is
overstaffed for the amount of active members you have and the amount of
posts a day you get from members of the forum (not including staff).
The spelling and grammar on the forum categories is terrible, you need to use proper English and not slang or text speech, your forum currently looks very unprofessional even when the main admin is posting he is using shortened words and text speech and from the admin this is not suitable and would suggest you posting in proper English and then that will encourage other staff to follow as you’re the leader of the staff team.
I believe that if the staff are posting in correct English then the members are more likely to do it otherwise they will look a bit odd and silly posting in text or slang speech when everyone else is speaking in proper English.
Total Score - (32/100)
I noticed in the general discussion forum all the topics in that forum are forum games, I would suggest making some new topics that add content and discussion and if you did that then people are more likely to post more and be more active.
