Well, as some of you know already, I have developed a social network around the idea of connection webmasters together. Well, after a lot of time, I have made a new homepage and a new theme has been edited to fit WebFerno.
What I want you the members of FP to do is to look over WF and leave some feedback on what you think of it! Feedback really does help and it would be nice to have a few different views than just my own.
Okay. So I did take a very detailed look at WebFerno and here are some points that I think is worth noting.
Idea: Amazing idea. While it might seem 'ordinary' to have a social network for webmasters, the fact that it brings together experienced and inexperienced hands together without boundaries is commendable. You have gone a long way from 'dreaming' to 'acting' and you sincerely earned my heartfelt salute!
Homepage: I did witness both your current and previous homepage and I must say that these homepages are very compelling. It gives a feeling that WebFerno is at top of the things and whoever is managing it is having a level head. Kudos to you on that too. The registration and log in processes are flawless and there is hardly any room for improvement on it.
Theme: The theme department is something I am quite concerned about. I understand that facebook (a rival which needs no mention) also has a similar theme and layout. While it wont be much of a problem for those patient and keen observers, its still going to give you a little less boom. People would easily have the opinion that its a copied script from facebook. I understand it took a lot of effort to come up with this, but the blue -white combo is a little over the edge with facebook.
Layout: The first impression about the layout is quite alarming. It looks, again, remarkably similar to facebook, especially the cover page - profile page combination. Maybe, you could give your users a 'vertical' setting (To have the cover page placed vertically) rather than the horizontal setting adopted by facebook. Or you could come up with something entirely new! Also, the Wall is also same as facebook. I am not telling that you have copied these, I am merely expressing the fact that making a few changes would make WF more unique and more promising.
Professionalism: You are excellent at it! I have been with you into various of your projects including debate corner and the like. Professionalism is quite a big thing today and you are so much above my expectations. However less significant it is, you might want to consider changing your terms of use. Terms of usage are actually legal documents and it is less professional to have words like 'golden to go' / 'Think to yourselves before clicking sumbit'/ 'being a pain in everyone’s, well you know' and a lot of such terms has to be replaced with more 'officially worded' alternatives.
Titles: Everything is neat and good looking. I am happy to see that you have renamed 'pages' to 'spaces' (or am I mistaken?). And, you might want to change 'Log in as page' to 'Log in as space admin' or something like that.
Advertisements: I am happy that you have not comeup with advertisements on the homepage and your advertisement spots are on the wall within respectable dimensions and confined to necessary pages. There is no room for improvement at this area anyway.
All together, you have come up with an excellent idea and a beautiful master piece. One final question I would like to ask you is - Why the name WebFerno? I really dont understand the logic behind this.
Thankyou for reading!

I am unable to see that error. I am looking at it on my work computer that is running an outdated version of IE and I am still unable to see that. Hard refresh?
