First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)

To say it in few words, your site looks good. However, looking good is only half of what you need to do with a theme. When I look at your forum (particularly because of your banner), I don't really think of books. You may want to consider using a theme that relates a little more to your site. See what you can do about that, okay? However, you do have a good theme, and your banner looks nice. Perhaps a new banner that has more to do with books would do the trick. You could also try some new icons. Maybe you could have some books for the "new post" and "old post" images.

Your forum does look reasonably active at first glance. You have a good amount of posts and members. You also don't have any empty forums.

Overall, my first impression of your site was quite positive, but there's still room for improvement here.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)

Your layout is very concise and organized. It also correctly puts the emphasis on the central theme of your site (books). It's so concise that you could probably add a few more forums if you needed to do so! If you're looking for new ideas to spark some more discussion, you may consider adding a forum to discuss authors. That's completely optional, though. Your layout looks great.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)

According to my calculations, your forum receives about twenty to twenty-five posts per day, and you've got twenty-three posts for each of your 190 members. Your forum isn't dead, but there's still a lot of room for improvement. Firstly, you need to ask yourself, "Am I advertising in the right places?" Remember that writers are also readers. Bearing that in mind, you should advertise on writing forums as well as other book-related forums. Again, saince writers are also readers, you may also wish to advertise on some of the larger roleplaying forums out there. You may also consider having some contests or special events to spark interest. Perhaps you could start a book club where some of your members take a pledge to read a book in a certain month, and then you can have a forum-wide discussion about the book. Anybody who reads the book and participates in the discussion could be rewarded somehow. These are just a few suggestions. You can also look around on Forum Promotion for some promotion tips, search optimization techniques, et cetera. As always, you can also request services on FP for extra advertisement.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)

Your forum currently employs three users. This seems like a good number of staff members. However, your two moderators are fairly inactive posters. Your staff members should be highly encouraged to post more. If your staff members post more, then it will create more content. If there is more content, users will have more to discuss. If there's more to discuss, you'll get more posts! Not all of your staff members appear to actively welcome users, either. On a smaller forum, it's important for new users to feel welcome. See what you can do about these problems.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)

Some of your descriptions have been done well, but others are still short and superficial. You want your descriptions to sell your forum. Make it sound like you know what you're doing, and make it sound like participating in your forum is fun for users. Beyond those things, simply describe your forums. If your forums are thoroughly described, then fewer topics will need to be moved. It simply makes your forum more effective to have good descriptions.

Total Score - 75 (Out of 100)

Final Remarks: You are doing very well in some areas, but you've still got work to do in my opinion.

Strong Points:
Your forum's layout is great. You've also got a nice theme despite my convictions regarding its relevance to your site.

Improvements to Make:
You need to improve your activity (both of the forum and of your staff members) and your forum descriptions. For the former, you should definitely increase your advertisement and make sure you're focusing on the right places. For the latter, make sure your descriptions successfully describe and sell your forums.
