their customer service was wonderful, until their ownership change years ago. Service was drastically affected. I'm still with them them for a gaming website - who had been for years on a shared server with them. I have an small amount of upon images, Since July I have a worth of 1500 posts and galleries, that's mostly gaming images for sharing and downloads of mods. No issues with the site until the ownership changed. I'm now going to explain the details of what I had to go thought as an member on the website that I have joined back in 2013

In the year of 2014, during the last two days of a National Championship show, the NCS site was blocked by hostgator, citing CPU usage. He suffered immense damage to his reputation and sales because of this. In 2015, in order not to have the same issue for the period of that big horse show, They moved the site to a dedicated server with them, on a month to month basis. Before they moved the site to the dedicated server, they dumped about 4 years worth of images, about 45% of the site's files. They moved it to the dedicated, but the SSL cert was never moved over. A couple weeks went by where we couldn't process orders, with Hostgator just telling them they were working on it. There site Developer finally dove into the files and moved the SSL Cert himself.

In September, they put in the request to move it back to the shared server on hostgator. Weeks went by without hearing from them. Subsequent calls and chats, which they saved, say they can't give them a time estimate to move the site back. Then they say it's too large for a shared server - to which I pointed out it was 45% larger earlier in the year, while it was on the shared server. Then they tell them that each time I call in or add to the original ticket, it DROPS there request to the bottom of the ticket queue - how stupid is that?

They still have no resolve, they are still charging them almost $200/mo for the dedicated server, 4 months after the original request, and will not move the site back to the shared. Nice business model they have going. Desperately looking for an alternative.....
