There are forums that give reward points for posting with a premium on created threads. It is one way of increasing interest in the forum. And the reward points can be converted into cash, real money. This promotional gimmick can definitely increase the posts in the forum but the big question if if it is cost effective. What are your thoughts on this?

I think it's a great idea. I like how it rewards you for posting quality content. It drivers members to post. It encourages them to do so in my opinion. If it can be converted into cash, then it's a huge bonus for people. It depends on how active a forum is pointless doing it if there aren't many active members on the forum.

As long as points aren't awarded based on posts or topics, it's quite a beneficial system.

A referral system based on the points can be quite useful in building up a membership.

I have seen that most forums do not offer real money in exchange of forum points. Also in some forums the points are of no use apart from counting them.

That's true. It's sort of like the US dollar without a backing of gold. Anyway, what's the exchange rate on Forum Promoton?

It's high enough for my standards.

I'd easily rank the quality of $FP far above any current crypto currency.

If forum points cannot be exchanged for either work and/or a decent amount of cash, then what good are they?

We have points on mine, we do not use them as the code was put in to see if it worked and was not removed lol, we used to have little competitions on mine and have graphics awards for the members, but really i don't see the point in the points system really, but again it depends on the type of board they are used on
