RIP Maggie Smith

Our Mother Superior, our Professor McGonagall, and our Violet Crawley. Dame Maggie Smith had many unforgivable roles that will forever be with us and we’re grateful for all of them.

Sad to hear this news but she’ll be with us, always.

This was sad news this afternoon indeed! She played every role so well and will be sorely missed!

Man I was sad when I heard the news, she was a wonderful actress. May she rest in peace.

Two legends gone in one month as James Earl Jones also passed away this month 🙁

My first Maggie Smith movie was Sister Act.

She seemed such a genuine and funny woman, especially in behind the scenes clips and outtakes, very down to earth and just like ‘one of us’. It’ll be a while before we have an actress like her again I think.

I really liked her as Professor Minerva McGonagall. She played that character well.

I know she played lots of other roles over the years but that's what I'm going to remember her for.

Saw the news on Reddit this morning while I was scrolling through after waking up. Very sad news indeed. 🙁

I first saw her in the Harry Potter movies as Professor McGonagall, and she helped make McGonagall one of my favorites because she really brought the character to life. I also really enjoyed her as Violet Crawley in Downton Abbey (which I just watched earlier this year!).

It was a sad day when I heard about Maggie, I was out and about and once home I have seen it on the news that she had passed away in a hospital. Another good league and star in the filming industry 🙂

I believe that her health wasn't that good anyway but the films will live on 😉
