They're very slow to release any information but:
  • Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple were killed by their son, Nick

RIP Rob, it's so dang sad he was murdered by his son. Misery was my favorite film he directed as well.

They've got a very interesting short 45ish minute doco about the murder on Disney+. Worth the watch.

It's got Harry Shearer and a couple other actors from his films too.

Yeah, RIP. His movie Spinal Tap was especially funny. I think he was behind The Jerk also and, of course, a star on All in the Family. The brutal murder is horrible for such a kind and talented person (as well as his wife).

I read that their son had Schizophrenia. Which is a serious, chronic brain disorder that disrupts how a person thinks, feels, and behaves, causing them to lose touch with reality through symptoms like hallucinations (hearing voices) and delusions (false beliefs). If that was the case then he should have been under 24/7 medical care. Perhaps if he wasn't successful with the murders thats where he would have ended up. Now he is going to jail for life instead.

My wife had it also, but sometimes outside people agitate false beliefs with gossip. It's just schizophrenic people are very sensitive to it, do you have to watch your mouth.
