RIP to actress Polly Holliday. Died at 88 years old. 🙁

She was best known for her portrayal of sassy waitress Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry on the 1970s sitcom Alice, which she reprised in its short-lived spin-off, Flo.

She was also in Gremlins, The Parent Trap and Mrs Doubtfire.

RIP Polly, I remember seeing her in Gremlins and Mrs. Doubtfire. I never watched Alice. Was that the sitcom based around Alice from The Brady Bunch?

Haven't seen it either but this is the write up from Google.

After her husband is killed in a trucking accident, Alice packs up the car and her son, Tommy, and heads to Hollywood, dreaming of a singing career. Her car breaks down in Phoenix, forcing her to take a job at Mel's Diner, a greasy spoon where gruff owner Mel barks orders to Alice and her fellow waitresses.

It started in 1976. I loved her in her tiny little scene in The Parent Trap.

I loved her as Flo!

Kiss my grits!
