Anyone use the new browser, it has been recently featured on Mashable & TechCrunch. And said to be the browser that we have been waiting for.

check it out

http://rockmelt.com

You have to have Facebook to run all of it's features though. They are currently in beta so have to get invites =/ but I got one and well it's AWESOME.

No, just for Windows and or Mac but it's pretty damn fast and on convenient 🙂

I'm connecting my FB account now, it takes a little while for an invite

It's in private beta now lol, they have to get you an invite. 🙂 Plus tons of people are trying to get in.. As I said they are featured on TechCrunch & mashable.

Rockmelt idea seems similar to Flock which is also a social networking themed browser, but just using the Webkit engine which chrome also use while Flock uses the Firefox engine.

Wrong, Flock uses same engine as as RockMelt which is the chrome engine. And no it's not it's much better and more social savvy than Flock. PLus it's better funded as well.

I really think it is the exact same as Flock. I just download RockMelt and it feels like a copy to me. Like the designers of it had no creativity.

It reminds me of google chrome. Just with a few more additions to it.

I don't see the point of needing an entire browser for a little added interoperability. But to each their own.

Obviously you don't see the potential but it's cool search Youtube for videos. You guys don't wonder whom makes it and or what actually powers it (not the engine). And or features. Flock is slow never really updated and overall a bad experience, if you think this is a knock off well you probably think you can play PS3 games in the 360.

You can search youtube from the address bar on Flock. Flock is cleaner and run more efficiently. As well as the ability to have more than one user on the web browser, meaning when you log in, you have your personal history of sites, cookies, and downloads and someone elses account has their stuff.

I see the potential but a few addons with Firefox can probably do the job just as well.

I'll try it.

Is there a linux release?
Just run it with WINE!

Edit: I'm connected to the internet and WINE won't install it 🙁
