I am currently taking an ROP class. Regional Occupational Program. It is basically work study, a class with on the job training for a specific field.
I am going to get a Master's to become a teacher, possibly Kindergarten or 6th grade. It is the only thing I can see myself doing, I have always enjoyed working with kids. I have been doing my On-the-Job hours at a local daycare. Honestly, it is one of the best things ever. It is a really fun job, and I can't wait to go every day. It pretty much makes me even more sure of what I want to do in life.
I recommend to anyone in high school or going into it to check out the ROP program, or anything similar to it at your school. If you are even remotely interested in a field, take the class. You will get valuable experience, and you will know by the time you are done whether this is a good career choice. Take a class. It is worth the time, and it can really help you get on track.
