I mean seriously how are you going to run a site if you can't be nice to members or make your members be nice to other members. It  me off.

I'm not going to say who or what site as it will sound like I'm trying to create soap opera, but seriously though here I was searching for good topics and stumbled on topics where they say " noob " instead of saying whoever that person is new to keep working on what (s)he does and point out what (s)he needs to fix. Oh I also see this " oh my god that site is painful to my eyes ".. don't they have better thing to say? Or even if the site is horrible, they could have said something more polite like site is not for me.. good luck though..

:shake: if you have nothing better to say than being rude then don't say it at all !

I hate it when people can be rude. I've had it in a couple of threads for Joomla sites.

I do not tolerate rude comments whatsoever.. I have never done it, so I'm expecting the same.

Its hard to deal with people being rude.
There is blatant direct rudeness that is obvious to anyone..
Then there is misunderstood rudeness. As in, you read their post and took it the wrong way.

Well I can understand if let's say I'm making a post that completely nonsense.. I wouldn't mind seeing people telling me that it's stupid because it's pretty obvious..

But what about when you actually enjoy doing what you do and you want to see people's opinion on your work then there is this person who'd say your work is a complete garbage.

Well you cant expect to get 100% praise at all times. But there is proper ways to say something isnt good with out being rude..
Like instead of saying "God that thing is horrid!! Did a 4 year old make that?!?!!?" someone could say "I think it could use a little improvement. I recommend <insert blank> <insert blank> <insert blank> <insert blank> "

Exactly.. that's what I thought. Being rude is just like asking for troubles..
P.S I never asked for praises.. it's people opinions really whether they like it or not.. I just don't like rude comments...

I am not going to name anyone but the are some rude people here. I think most people are rude to other people in the Internet due to people thinking are safe behind their computers.

I honestly think people on FP are alright .. they may sound rude, but I have not yet to see anyone saying something rude like " your stuff horrible.. don't even bother doing it anymore ".. although I have seen someone said I made an idiotic response, which I don't take it too seriously 😛

You're always going to get rude people on forums. That's just how it is.

This is the internet.

They are safe behind their computers.

There is like 0.000000000000000000000001% chance someone is going to try to find out where someone else lives and go beat them up for something said on a forum..

But yeah its sad. Most people try to present themselves online the same way they do offline.
But there is always those scared little kids who get picked on at school pretending to be big bad rude tough guys/gals on the computer.

I get that, the thing is in Msn or yahoo messenger you have this option where you can BLOCK someone.
Sadly you can't do that in forums  -repping doesn't help either.. you'd still see them whenever you visits the forum

If you go to your user cp you can add people to your foe list. If a person is on your foe list you can't see his or her post but you have to make sure the style your using works with that feature.

Meh rude people come with most things as you have to get used to it as you are never going to have a forum entirely free of rude people and comments. It's when their rudeness becomes a patter is when you know when someone needs to be dealt with or removed as everyone has their bad day when they might slip out something that they will regret later.

Yea I guess. Meh if I am upset I'd just go out and get wasted.. I'll forget it by the end of the day

A certain forum for one of the forum packages should have this subject.

The majority of members and support staff if a new member says ' how do i do this?' will just say to try reading the manual, ask in the appropriate topic, use html etc.

What if the person has never used html, css or php?

I am grasping html. CSS and php I don't have a clue ( and I'm 36)

many new people won't even know if there is a manual.

I do find that many people at this particular forum ( not FP) can be rather arrogant at times. One of the customiser staff is only 12 and he can be arrogant too. Ha and they have recently said in a topic there that they started because they would be lonely otherwise. I wonder why.

Anyways If anyone thinks i am being rude to either you or anyone else i expect to be told.
