Rugby World Cup 2011

Anyone watched any of the games? Loved being able to watch Rugby not at a silly time (mid-night) it's nice having it in our country.

I have not heard anything about in here. I had been planning on following it, but surprisingly I have not seen it mentioned on sports shows like SportsCenter, etc.

I watched the opening which was really good. But haven't been watching the games. Mainly due to not having an interest in the games itself. Plus all the news about it is beyond annoying. Turn the TV on and 60% of the time it's Rugby this, Rugby that.

While I understand New Zealand is happy we've got the world cup I think they're going a bit overboard.

But the same could be said about Happy Feet. Rescue a penguin that just shows up in NZ, pay thousands of dollars for advertising and getting him fixed. That sort of money could have been used to get AMI stadium up and running for the World Cup.

I think so. Which I find really funny as they wasted a whole heap on money. :lol: But the council are bad at things. I mean they left a man dead for a year without anyone knowing he was dead.

Ireland v Australia Saturday - luckily at a decent time for us to see, not like 7am on a weekend! Come on Ireland..though we have been playing awful :/

Ditto from me Hazy, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I watched the second half of the Ireland USA match on Sunday, obviously it was important that we got the win, but unfortunately we didn't play great. It will be a very tough game against Australia.

Yeah I'd say so Fergal, at least it's not on that early really and not a Sunday eek! Hopefully we'll have upped our game and start playing like we used to because it has seriously gone down hill at times when I look at it. Only for a handful of players we wouldn't have even won that last match!
