Are you strict with enforcing your rules or are you quite relax or do you not even have any rules for your members to follow?

We are quite Relaxed, we all have a sense of humour, but when people go too far someones got to put them in their place dont they 🙂, not harshly though

We have a lot of rules, but their not enforced to a very strict point.

i guess this really depends on the type of community you own / run.

For a host, you would need to maintain and keep to a strict set of rules to produce a professional outcome.

However for sites where it's just general chat and banter, i think enforcing rules can be harmful.

Personally i am quite laid back when it comes to rules and I usually turn a blind eye or give a little friendly warning unless it is serious like spamming or threatening other members but if a user does break the rules on many occasions I would warn them.

Hummmmmmmm

If you take a look at my f1 forum I don't think you find any rules.

I'm really strict when it comes to a few things. Members who post pics that stretch the screen, or type one letter dragging across the screen with no spaces that cause the screen to stretch.

two of my main pet-peeves as an Admin.

i don't give warning or ban fior it, one thing i do that is effective, is fix the problem, edit a little post with my name in their post, then, i'll had the rule they constantly break in their Sig. so they have to see that rule everytime they post. it works 😉

spam, i hate, but, it's going to happen, as long as it's not just an "lol" post <----- i despise those the most.

if it's funny, than state why, or add something besides "lol" or "lmao"
