I am hoping there's a few RS3 players left on here, but I'm wanting to know if the direction they are taking it is any good? I've not played in a few months because I don't like the interfaces but is it worth checking out again?

Depends on what other games you play. The graphics are better, but I still think that Runescape lacks essential mechanics...such as movement capabilities, and combat. The combat is very "chase someone and then stand there and hit each other". I prefer more of a run around and hit them as u run / use range capabilities when you're farther away.

I know the mechanics of Runescape and used to enjoy it. I actually still admin a private server. What I'm wanting to know is if the "story" they are adding to the game is worth putting up with the annoying interface system they added.

They also have the old 2007 servers up.
The servers use the data, graphics and mechanics from 2007. It's interesting.

My problem with 07 is my levels don't revert and I don't have tim to start back up. My 6 99's would take forever to get again on 07. :/

I used to play It a few years back. But now Runescape just seems like a waste of time. Also Im more into Shooter games.

I've tried RS3 a while ago, It was actually pretty decent, I don't know why people are complaining about something with better graphics and a whole to storyline.

I tried Runescap 3, and it was pretty easy to get into without the need to memorize a lot of keyboard keys, and other info. The graphics are better as well.

I won't go back to Runescape until it isn't click to move.
Clicking on a screen to move is just the most annoying way to move around, for me at least.

Currently I'm thinking about perhaps getting involved with Minecraft map development and addons. (kinda off topic, but yeah)...

I have heard though that RS3 brought some new/old players to the game.

Is RS3 new?.
They did this interface update and made graphics look better. They also added a major story element so I'm wanting to know if the story element makes the game worth playing.

RS3 is really good though I don't have a good enough computer to be able to enjoy the new graphics. I still like most of the improvements, including the movable boxes, how they snap apart and lock into place. Though it took me awhile to relearn how to dungeoneer after RS3 hit as the interface was so different. Now that I have my interface set up the way I want it again, I'm good to go and just got 98 dungeoneering. I could get 99 in about a day if I wanted but I'm waiting on my friend to get around my level so we can 99 dungeoneering together. 😛
