Wow you did not read my previous posts? I stated I had a RSPS and I asked him what his friends (HIS PLAYERS) can learn out of playing a RSPS...

They don't learn they tell me the errors so I can fix them.. We hardly even play maybe time to time we will PK each other with new spells I created but other than that they just sit on talk and find errors. As Iv coded and made around 50+ new items to use 🙂 Also created around 5-10 new towns all customized by me.

I know for WoW private servers, Blizzard sues a lot of them. I know a few though that have their own emulators. Meaning they don't copy any of the coding or the way that retail is ran. So it's legal and Blizzard leaves them alone.

I don't know about RSPS, but for WoW you can get away with it as long as you didn't steal the emulator or exact coding from Blizzard.

Raymond, what is your RSPS, I'll see if my brother knows of it. He goes by 'Matt' in some areas... He codes a lot.

Haha ok 😛, I had alot of custom items on mine too, till Jagex came and screwed it so I stopped RS all together, making your RSPS private is the best way they don't catch you :great:

I highly doubt Jagex itself came and did anything, First Off Jagex isn't big enough to even go out to find these small or single based places. No offense but doubt it, Jagex would only take action on server based people who buy hosting to host it, People who get around 1k + every day of each user their not going to go after someone who gets 100 or even 200 new users a day.

Mine got canceled for the reason: "Copyright infringement" so yeah I assume Jagex took it down...

Everybody here is right. You shouldn't be making your own server of Runescape. I'm sure Jagex would find out sooner or later. However, if you don't plan on releasing it to the public and just use it to learn, then it should be alright.

Yes but after you do all that then what? You experiment to see if it's good enough to be released. You take screenshots to say to people: "Look I have a Phat or some other awesome item" What is fanart? LOL.

Rea leasing it is good but not if it gets taken down so it all has it's good and bad points 😛.
