Okay, as most of you know, I have successfully revived Let's Just Talk and have gotten awesome results from post exchanges, packages, etc. But there are days when I feel like I'm running a forum just for the heck of running a forum. I'll go on and there are days when I have little to no motivation. I feel like having my co-administrator (or even I can do it myself) bring me down to moderator or even regular member status. As with my work schedule, and real life schedule, I just feel like I have no motivation at the moment, yet I don't want to close the board as too much has gone into it all ready. What do you guys think I should do? Help! BTW, even if I do decide to make myself a regular member, can I still help with promotion and things like that. Can I still request packages and things here?

Not to be too mean, But how many times have you said I am not running a forum for a while? Then two days later you say you are going to "revive" one.

Ashley, not to be mean, as well; but you have to be one of the most indecisive persons i have ever met on the internet.

You treat running a forum like a see-saw. You're in you're out. You're in you're out. You're in you're out. You're in you're out.

No body can make these decisions for you. It's what you want to do, no matter how many times you want to do it, again and again. 😉

I don't want to close it, though. That's what I'm saying. I love that forum to death, and the last thing I feel like doing is giving it up completely. I was just thinking just now that even if I just became a moderator, hired one more administrator, and I could come on day after day still and be in good hands. You guys don't understand that I have a short attention span, and I have a hard time with decisions like this. I knew you'd take it this way. I'll just make the decision on my own then if nobody wants to help. Sorry if I sounded rude.

I'll guarantee that you are going to make more decisions like this. As soon as you give it up you'll want it back.

Which is why I have this:

I'll even stay on as a co-administrator as well. I just don't want to close the forum merely because I'm not interested, as that would be a selfish decision for the community. I want to stay around and help it grow as much as possible.

Stay as an Admin, or just be a normal member and post a formal resignation to the community and say why, if you feel like you simply can't run it, don't and let someone else take over.

Then why not just stay as Administrator?

You know, someone suggested to me being a kind of behind-the-scenes administrator, and I think what they meant was still coming on, but coming on as hidden (and my other staff would know I was there still). So I'm thinking of doing that instead. Besides, I haven't had a chance to use my powers yet like to ban anyone or anything, so I think I'll do that, then that way, the board can still remain open in case there's a day when I decide to go on a promotion spree, and we will still see our first year anniversary, and then our second, and so on and so forth! Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks. End of discussion.

One thing I've seen people do is, they create another account, make that account useful for administrative purposes only, and then they make themselves a regular member. I think I might end up doing that maybe, then that way it won't be half as stressful. And then Nick is there as my co-administrator, so that'll help.

From my experience I actually enjoy being a co-administrator on a forum that someone else started than one I started myself, but that's just me. Also you need to make sure that if you are going to run a forum you have your heart into it. If you don't know whether you should pursue a project like a forum or not then odds are you should chose "not" as it is quite a burden.

Well, I just realized that I was just having one of my days (as usual). As I have decided just to keep pushing at it and making it better and things like that. I really don't want to close it down. In fact, I am determined to make it even better than before.

To be honest, Everyone has these day's and no body likes the effort of running a forum. But you just do it. Like I said making a forum and running into isn't just a walk in the park.

There are days when I don't want to run my site and I'm sure efc2009 and MhW feels the same way sometimes you just don't want to update anything. But re-opening and closing isn't helping your situation, Also it's not that none of us want to help you. It's just that every 2-3 months you say the same thing over again "I'm going to quit done for ever" Then you come back 2-4 weeks later.

Honestly you have to be into making a forum, If your just in it to run one it really isn't going to go anywhere.

Just think before doing something is all I'm trying to say 🙂

Well, I am keeping my board opened, and I am determined, now more than ever, to keep my word. I really enjoy running a forum, I really do. I am keeping it open, and no matter how many bad days I have, whether it's online or offline, I am determined to keep my word, as I enjoy going on forums in general, because foruming is a thing I enjoy doing to get away from the real world, if only for a short time. So, no worries, Let's Just Talk is staying open, and I mean it. Can this topic be locked now, please?

And, less than 2 days later ...

Hello Everyone, I am sorry to say but we have closed down the forum... but can we ask you all to join Eternal Nightmare Please...

Yeah.. there are days when I'm right up for improving the forum and doing post exchanges and then there will be other days when I don't wanna do anything except make a few posts. Recently, I havn't had very many of those days at all.

My forum is doing amazing at the moment, better than it ever has and I will be trying to keep as motivated as possible.
