Have you guys tried your luck with running more than one forum at a time? Did it work out for you or did you feel that one or the other (or even both forums) had to go? I did try my luck with running two forums but it just got to be too much work. I had a site called I Want It That Way which was, I think, on Forumer, and then I had another forum, a religious one. That was a confusing experience for me because, when there was a problem on one forum, and I'd go on the opposite forum to carry out the punishment or whatever needed to be done only to find that I couldn't carry out what I wanted to do (I think I had to ban a member for something or other) and I went to type in the username, and I got that lovely, "The request user does not exist" and I'm thinking, "what the heck??" then I'd realize that the incident happened not on this forum, but on the other one. That deserved a huge "Never Again!" from me. And that's true, there's no way I'd be able to run more than one forum at a time. Too much to remember after a while. Have you guys tried this or do you still do it? What was your experience like?

I used to run a promotion forum and a general chat forum at the same time before. One wad demanding and the other was relaxed. Both got their fair share of traffic so I was thankful for the dedicated staff I had on both forums. Without them, I could not have done it.

Both of my forums at the time were pretty relaxed as well. Sure, they were based on serious subjects, religion and music, but at the same time it was way too confusing. Having two different layouts of an ACP didn't help matters though. I used PHPBB on both counts, but I remember one host I was on where you went in the ACP and you got double options, almost as if someone was doing something with the ACP when they were adding stuff for administrators to do, and they just had a field day with adding stuff. But I think that was a totally different host I used at the time, not Forumer.
