Are there any members in here that run regularly? I don't like to run but I think it's because my endurance level is not very high and I really need to work on that. I heard that running is one of the fastest ways to get into shape alongside eating healthier. Any tips for the newbie here?
If you hate running, then you can always walk longer to keep yourself healthy with a perfect body. Apart from this you can workout simple exercise to make yourself happier.
Start off with playing sports! It's more entertaining to go head to head with your friend in a game of badminton, tennis or basketball than just running. You still run when you do sports.
A lot of the same principles from other forms of exercise apply. Once you've established a baseline of what you can do, it's all about pushing yourself a little bit at a time. Variation in your routine is also the key. So, say that you can run a quarter mile before you need to start walking. One day, try jogging a half mile, and then maybe another day, go back to running a quarter mile.
Consistency is the real key though. If you're working out 3-5 days of the week, you'll see the results come pretty quickly. 🙂
I suggest you start with walking a mile or two each day. Once you're comfortable with that, move to jogging for 15-30 minutes at a time with a follow up walk. In no time you should be able to turn that jog into a run, and then extend the duration of that run by 15 minutes every few weeks. I run fairly regularly and this is how I started out. The key is not to get burned out or hurt yourself by pushing your body too far too soon. You can find lots of great training tips and plans to follow online. Best of luck! 🙂
It is easy man. I don't like running, but after I buying Nike shoes, downloading some interesting pop music to my Lumia 525, i really like it. Now, I run everyday in afternoon in a pak near my house! ^^
