Running your own business

Is running your own business something you'd like to do? It's something I hope to do one day, and I am already lightly discussing it with two people who would be involved (both on this forum)!

Into my third year in college, I was an engineering student (good standings too, intern at Google, etc). Then there was this entrepreneurship workshop that I attended just out of boredom/curiosity just to see how I can maybe relate engineering to it and whatnot. The week after, I changed my major to business (even though I was 2 years behind). Most people tell me they can't see me in a business setting like wall street and I couldn't agree more with them. I want to have my own business, my own startup, my own invention (or innovation). It's a great path and it can be rewarding.

I've owned things all of my life, from lemonade stands, to vegetable stands to the manager of our broadcasting team At school. I've visioned myself owning something since I was 5. And I will own my own business someday. I don't like taking commands from someone else.

I'm going to finish college and get my bachelor's degree first, but it's definitely a possibility that I end up working for myself and have some sort of writing company. It's not my primary goal, I'd much rather be working for a news station or newspaper, but it's a back up I guess.

I too would like to own my business someday in the near future if possible if not that's fine. It's exhausting sometimes listening to management where I work just saying. Anyways I enjoy where I work tho, but I am interested in scaling higher in a top level career. Just to have that moment of being a boss.

My father, a couple of his friends, and I created the business in my signature. Check it out! We have spent forever on it!

I have wanted to work in a proper web startup as a designer. I am no coder hence need a technical partner but everyone just want payment upfront and not a partnership.

Although you would probably gain a lot of experience which would allow you to get a job.

Starting a business has always been my dream. I'd love to take on a big player like Microsoft or Google or something. 🙂 I'd also like to own conglomerate because then I would have a hole host of different things I could do each day.
