As thedudeman took the time to write up a good review of this forum, I'd like to see if anyone else can do the same. However, if you're going to provide suggestions to make it better, please do not suggest an introduction forum. It has been brought up too many times and it'll never happen. Sorry.
You know, Introduction forums aren't really a necessity - you can always predict what's going to be posted in there, and it's only a nice way to get to know everyone. Ads: hate them, but they can't go.
I like how you have a selection of 4 different skins, with a nice banner to go with each one. In fact, your banners are ridiculously simple, but they work. All of them. Ice Breeze is the best looking, with a simple blend of shades of blue that give it a nice, cool feel. Green Mint is probably the worst looking, with the banner's text looking a bit choppy around the edges and most of the greens being a bit too bright. All of your styles are quite good though, so Green Mint is superior to other styles I've seen.
Your Reviewer's Corner looks a bit out of place up the top there, and would probably be better either as a subforum of 'Project Showcase', or in that same category (General Discussion). I like your forum, love the way it looks and I do wish you luck.
Actually, the ads can be gone when you have AdblockPlus installed if you're a user of Firefox 😉 And I know the banners for the other three skins are simple and that's only because I suck at making them.
I can see what you mean of Ice Breeze being the best looking because most of my active members use it, according to a poll I created to see what skin everyone uses. I don't really think Green Mint is that bad, although I tried to make it as appealing as possible.
For Reviewer's Corner, I can understand its in the wrong place and I'm unsure if it should be within Project Showcase but that's something I can discuss with the staff about.
Green Mint isn't bad, it's just that in comparison to your other skins it looks slightly inferior. And yes, the banners are simple, and no, you don't suck at making them. They look really good, which does show that simplicity can win people over.
Oh, okay then. I think I underestimated myself about that part. Although, better banners have been made for them (one for Ice Breeze and the other for White Silver) but I didn't like them much 😕
Do you think Green Mint should be improved a bit? Or should I just keep it the way it is?
