Hi, Many people have different browsers which they use very often but most of the time the popular browsers pull through and dominate others. One browser which is classed as a main browser is Safari. However I don't see anyone really using it.

The thing is, Safari is fast and reliable. It has it's ups and downs but in general it's great and comes with some great features. It's also quite light weight and I don't know if there are any addons or not, I haven't had a look but to be honest you don't need them.

Firefox to me, looks like IE and seems just as bad too. It has so much stuff in the window and performs really slowly, however Safari is small and compact. If you need a new browser of you're still using Firefox, or using IE, why not think about changing?

Download Safari Here.

Firefox has been crashing a lot and I'm thinking of moving to safari, its so QUICK!

I have just fell in love...

Turns out you can get addons but Apple call them 'Extensions'. The ones you need to get are:

  • AdBlock
  • Twitter for Safari
  • Turn off the Lights
  • Ultimate Status Bar

You need to use Safari, it's fantastic! 🙂

I love Safari as well. I quick using Firefox. It kept crashing my computer. Safari is smexy.

I've been using Safari since it came out on Mac OS X many years ago, and I love it. It's fast, can open loads of tabs at once (I used to play a game in which you opened a few hundred tabs at once, Safari could do 250), pretty much never crashes, and has great syncing features to sync with iOS devices and other Macs.

Of course, the Windows one is good too. 😉

I love Safari, it's fast and the add-ons are cool. I had an add-on before my laptop crashed which helped with the moderation here.

Glock, what do you mean no tabs? You can use tabs

Maybe it just what I have but I have no tabs :-|
Maybe I just don't know hot to use it 😛

Settings -> Tabs you can set setting for tabs. Also View -> Show Tab Bar you can enable showing the bar all the time. 🙂

Safari........is bad!!! lol

I have to admit tho I do use it on my iphone just because its the best browser for the phone at the moment. If they came out with a better one I would be all over it.

Its better to use mozilla as its fast and secure with millions of plugins..!!

I love safari. I am a total Mac/Apple user. Safari is great, fast, multifunctional, and SAFE. Unfortuneatly, the FASTEST web browser out there is Google Chrome.

I don't use Safari, as I dislike Apple. I prefer to stick with Chrome as it is just as reliable and simple.

Safari was hacked in 5 seconds.

Pwn2Own, the annual three-day browser hackathon, has already claimed its first two victims: IE8 on Windows 7 64-bit, and Safari 5 on Mac OS X. Google Chrome looks set to survive for its third year in a row.

Internet Explorer 8 was thoroughly destroyed by independent researcher Stephen Fewer. "He used three vulnerabilities to bypass ASLR and DEP, but also escape Protected Mode. That's something we've not seen at Pwn2Own before," said Aaron Portnoy, the organizer of Pwn2Own.

Safari 5, running on a MacBook Air, was compromised in just five seconds by French security company Vupen. Both attackers netted $15,000 for successfully compromising a browser.

Also, the people that signed up for Chrome, backed down even after Google offered $20,000 to the first to hack it.

That was back in March. They obviously did updates since then.
