SakugaCity.Com - Anime and Gaming Community

Sakuga City is not just an anime forum, it is a gaming community as well. It was set up just over a year ago, and is a very active little forum for it's age, so why not check it out? Small, active communities are a great way to make new friends.

We are always on the lookout for good writers to join our team, especially games reviewers since lately we're putting out more anime related stuff.

Here are our latest articles: http://www.sakugacity.com/ams

If anyone is interested in editing, let me know. Editors on Sakuga are basically moderators with forum specific powers that have excellent English grammar skills to help our writers get the best out of their piece. They also have the ability to publish to the AMS.

Woah, thread's gone over a month without a post. My bad. XD

Well, new articles added all the time to our "blog" https://www.sakugacity.com/ams/ with quite a few currently on the editor's block. 🙂

We have quite a few anime writers on the team and adding new contributors all the time. If you're interested in writing about games, get in touch. I feel the gaming side of things is a little light on the blog atm.

I haven't posted in this thread in a while. We haven't introduced any new features since the last post. Our blog is going from strength to strength though. We even got a few mentions for some of our reviews on an official site or two, which was cool.

We recently got Vault Wiki, and for the life of me, I don't really know how we should set the darn thing up. It's there but hidden from non-staff for the moment. Been trying to figure out how to set up categories and the like. Nightmare XD.

People who are curious about anime, but don't like the weirder side of Japanese media might find my article on "Great Anime Series With Little To No Fanservice" on Sakuga City useful: https://www.sakugacity.com/ams/great-anime-series-with-little-to-no-fanservice.130/ I wrote it after a discussion in the moderator forum between some of the staff who are all adults with responsibilities and don't have time for dredging through weird muck to find the good stuff. I plan to write another in the future.

We have a manga club on the site as well. Every few months, some members get together and read some volumes of a manga, then discuss it via podcast. It's very much the same as a book club. Here is their latest podcast: https://www.sakugacity.com/ams/december-january-manga-club-berserk.140/ (BTW, new members interested in being involved in these podcasts are very welcome to private message Pinky or Kerberos on site.)

I haven't posted in a while.

If you're interested in Gaming, and/or anime, you should consider joining us. The forum may be small, but it's an active and very close little community where many people have known each other for years. New members who are active enough for us to get to know, are generally welcomed into the community and become one of us soon enough. They are not a tough nut to crack like other old communities. They are a very friendly bunch.

We have an IRC chatroom where some of the members hang out during their work week as well.

I have updated the original post. 🙂

We currently have something in the works that we have had planned since forever. XD
