Hey, I'm very new to forum management (started less than a month ago), and not sure I belong in this place. I'm halfway in my forties, live in Europe, love reading, cooking, watching movies. If there's anything else you like to know and I would be allowed to reply (lol), feel free to drop me a message.

Welcome to Forum Promotion. Hope you have a good time here 😀

Hey, it's an absolute pleasure to have you as a member of our community! We welcome all webmasters/forumers, regardless of experience, so I would definitely say that you belong here. If you need anything at all, feel free to reach out. Welcome to FP! 🙂

Welcome! What led you to finding Forum Promotion? What's your project about?

Thank you all for the warm welcome. 🙂

@Katrina
I found Forum Promotion through the Xenforo community. I bought Xenforo and hosting start of Nov because I wanted to create an online home where I wasn't being harassed; mods on existing forums would stand by and look without acting, and I'm not very confrontational so I would most of the time hurt and just pull away, ultimately having less and less "me" left. I had been toying with the idea for a long time, but, lack of experience etc. The final push was when the woman bullying me lashed out at a friend of mine just for that reason: because he's my friend. We had been told to steer clear of her even though she did not, and we did, and she noticed us doing so and called him a bully for that! Hurting me is one thing, but hurting my friends is another. I feel very guilty still for having him involved (sideways) in the mess. I'm also feeling blessed to have him as my friend - and co-founder of our place. 🙂

Even though it has been just under a month since we started our own place, it feels this was the best decision I could have made, and I should have done so before. Yes, it cost me some friendships, or, I probably should say, it taught me who the real ones were. But in the end, if no one is willing to stand up for you, even if leaving is hard for reasons keeping you in a place, it is the best thing to do.

Anyway, I've got a for the moment very tiny community started. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the place due to its nature (I asked site management and they'll probably need a few days to take a look and discuss). So, that's where we're at. 🙂
