What is the scariest city you've ever been to? By scary I mean in which place did you feel most uncomfortable/unsafe walking around/driving around alone at night or doing the day. By that I also mean in which place did you feel most likely to wind up in a horrible situation.

For me it was Detroit hands down (boring and consensus I know..). On my cross-country road trip we drove through the city just to get a glimpse at 5 o'clock in the morning and on our way into downtown we saw nothing but abandoned houses and factories. Some of the streetlights were even unhinged and nonoperative. It was an eerie feeling. Like we were in an entirely different, third-world if you will, country.

I haven't traveled much but I would say Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Since I was from a different country everyone kept staring at me and I felt a little bit uncomfortable. Also the traffic was quite unsafe. However once you start learning the rules of the locals then Phnom Penh is amazing!

I lived all over the east coast. And, the scariest city so far was Tampa/Bradenton area. Lots of criminal offenders who live in the area. And, when I found that out, I moved right away. I didn't want to raise a child in that kind of environment. Sometimes it felt unsafe taking her to the park as there were reports fo child abductions on the news daily. So we left.

Las Vegas Nevada has to be the place where it felt scary to me. And I don't know why my family had lived there for 6 years.

Hmm, maybe Oakland. Car broke down in the worst neighborhood possible, luckily nothing happened to me. 🙂
