Script Hostings has released our Community forum.

You could also have done it on a sub-domain. It would have saved you money. Also wouldn't go for .info just for the ticket system.

(My opinion. I don't see many host do this (There is a certain logic behind that), spread there operations through the other domain extensions of the brand. But different could also mean more success.)

But still nice addition. 🙂

master412160 Buying extra domain extensions prevents copies of your website and prevents competition somewhat but you don't want them all redirecting to the same page so why not have the .net for the forum and the .info for the support system?

you make a valid point but the "copies of your website", that is hard to do.

Also:

You should only fear or work in preventing competition if you yourself have something to loose or aren't doing it good enough so as a result the competition is hurting your business.

Regards,
Matt.

It's not always about the best website, it depends how experienced the owner is at promoting it. Also it helps for SEO. Have very related sites linking to each other.

The forum looks good. It might be an idea to use the same logo on both domains, so that your branding is consistent across both sites and your users don't feel that they are navigating to a completely different site.
