Back when I first started Serene Distraction back in 2005, my intent was for it to be a poetry forum for the one I used to frequent had unexpectedly shut down. I remember my heart being broken because the work that I shared on there and the folks I used to converse with on the regular had vanished. I didn't think to connect with those members outside of that forum and I did not make it a point to save my poetry offline. So Serene Distraction was born and although it has evolved to a Creative Arts online forum community the Poetry area still remains the heart of SD. I saw our Poetry Forum area's milestone totals today and just wanted to share this story with you all.
