I just saw a new movie called Searching that’s out in theaters now. It’s very good. Has anyone else seen this?

It’s about a father whose daughter goes missing. He uses her laptop to unwind the trail that led to her disappearance. The whole movie is filmed as if from a desktop recorder on several computers. Very unique style. I enjoyed it, and anyone here would likely appreciate this movie too.

Weird how it's not going to be shown in my local theater. And yet I have to go to Sheffield that's 30mins away. And no I haven't even heard of the film until I read this topic lol

It’s done very well. They use Facetime, YouTube videos, pictures, and stuff recorded off of surveillance footage to show stuff that goes on in the their real world. They also zoom in on the important stuff so that you can see the expressions on people’s faces, important details, etc
