Some people have more free time during the summer, while others are online more at forums during winter (holiday) months. How can you cash in on this seasonal forum traffic so that your site has a steady flow of visitors?

Hope that there is a good balance between the two. And if there are more in one than the other, run a contest in the off months to boost your posting.

You definitely have this with gaming sites. Mainly because gaming sites have more of an interest with teens or kids still in school. So summer time is the time that they have free time and are home nearly everyday or more than normally through the rest of the year.

Running contests, gaming events, tournaments, giveaways, etc.. is a good way to get people to boost traffic and activity in the off-season.

My forums always do better in the summer holidays but that's because I have more time to market them. 😛
