Your Secret Santa was John!
I plan to give Cierra the following: a review (it's in the spoiler), posts on her forum, and also I will buy her a permanent PM upgrade.
Design:
Languavel is a forum that has always had an intriguing design. From the top down, you have a very noticeable logo that really does a good job of leaving a positive impression with me. Although, you added some Christmas lights at the top of Languavel. This is a really nice touch if it was just in the header; however, these blinking Christmas lights follow me around everywhere. This is really annoying to have them go all the way down the index. Your forum might've already gotten rid of this by this time, but it would be a lot nicer of a touch if they stayed in one place.
The rest of your index looks very good. You've made very good use of the forum-specific icons, and you don't have ads plastered all over Languavel. Both of those things will definitely give me some basic motivation to come back and visit your forum. However, when I go down past your forums, I see two odd-looking things. The first of these is the music player that's right above your footer. This music player is barely noticeable at all, and if I were not reviewing your forum; I probably wouldn't have even noticed it. I'd recommend you either move it somewhere else more noticeable, or remove it completely. The second thing that looks odd is your footer in general. It's a pretty big footer, but it lack much content on it. I'd definitely add some "register", "login", and other similar links down there if you can. Right now it just seems like wasted space.
Content:
When I did this review (December 13th), very few sections had been posted in within the past 48 hours. One of the biggest throw-offs to a guest is seeing dates on the index. All of your sections (especially the niche ones) should have posts in the last 48 hours. If you cannot keep activity going in all the sections, I'd personally recommend you remove a few; or make a few of the less active ones sub-forums. If you want to keep all the sections; try just adding a post every 24 hours. In fact, having different staff members target areas could be very beneficial. One post every 48 hours in each section can make a huge difference when it comes to a guest's impression on your forum's activity.
Site Structure:
Languavel's forum is structured quite well. The niche' sections are towards the top, and everything "flows" together pretty well. Really the main negatives come from the blog to forum transition. Not only are there two completely different themes, but even the beta description is different. If I were to just randomly click on the homepage and go to the forum; I'd seriously wonder whether or not the forum and blog were the same website. If nothing else, the meta description in my browser needs to be different. I'd also look into making or buying my own custom theme that works well with both your forum and your blog. Doing both of these would at minimum ensure I know that the forum and the blog are the same site.
Professionalism:
This is something that needs to be touched up a little bit. Your forum itself is professional. The staff seems to do a good job of breaking up arguments, staying active, and writing quality announcements. The thing that concerns me is your homepage. When I first look at it, I'm greeted by a weird comment system towards the middle where there are multiple f-words. I completely understand and agree with placing a way for your members to contact you without using the forum, but a random comment page on your homepage is not the best way to do it. If you look at FP, we use the WordPress page system. This is beneficial because the member has privacy to make complaints, and you have the ability make your homepage look a little more professional. With the WP page system, you can put up multiple pages for whatever you chose, and it works really well.

Your Secret Santa was Sharon!
Looks like I am your secret Santa
So here I am today,
writing you a secret Santa poem
last minute before Christmas day.
Hissae reached out to me earlier in the month
I thought I’d make a video or a game,
But now I’m forced to tap into my creative mind
Yes I procrastinated but you’ll love it anyway.
I know you don’t like spiders
Flies or any type of bug,
So hopefully this poem brings a smile
And here goes for you a virtual *hug*
We haven’t been friends very long
but when we talk it seems like we’ve been forever,
just one of those friendships that instantly clicked
hey it’s better late than never.
I hope you have an amazing Christmas
And a happy New Year too,
I’m glad I was your Secret Santa
I hope you love this poem from me to you.
