Here's an interesting article about how Google is switching to secure search so business owners can't track what terms are being searched to reach their sites. This is relevant as most webmasters use these terms to know which keywords to target on their site.
Google says they are making this switch to protect consumer searches from the prying eyes of the NSA. At the same time, they encourage webmasters to invest into Adwords where they can still track what keyword/terms were used in search to trigger their ads.
So you have to wonder if this is Google's attempt to control the SEO game or just another ploy to increase revenue via Adwords.
