if you login to the forum, (Advertise Hotspot)

see your URL bar. It should be a little something like "http://www.advertisehotspot.whitedns.info/index.php?sid=numbershere123456" just that the bolded part is your numbers. This can really make our security drop cause if the hackers found out any of our staff's hash codes, we can be hacked. I tried f5ing the page so many times, but the sid numbers still stayed. I tried removing the "sid=numbershere123456" from the URL and guess what? I was kicked out and had to relog. If you don' have the SID numbers, its like you don't have a account. So that's why when you visit http://www.advertisehotspot.whitedns.info/points.php (after you logged in) they will kick you out because you didn't enter the SID numbers in the URL.

This is seriously a MAJOR problem. Can you guys tell me how to remove the SIDs? apparently, when i asked the host staff team (WHF) they told me it was already preinstalled in phpbb. I'm so confused

Thanks.

I thought the topic title said STD's at 1st glance. lol

Anyway, your software made it that way to increase security, not make your site vulnerable I suppose.

Ewwwww. 😛 Only you theezy. 😛

Joel, SID stands for Session ID.. Doesn't it? It changes every time?

There's no real need to remove them as they're what keeps you logged in. If you're seeing them then either your setup is incorrect or cookies arne't enabled on your browser
