Proboards has a way we can view our Security Log. I was wondering if you view your Security Log on your own forum. I keep track of it on mine to be sure everything is okay.

IPB does, you have system logs and error logs and also have information as to why the accounts get banned as soon as they account gets created. End of the say your hosting servers or firewall or whatever would have more details to security then your Forum software world.

What does the log detail?
Not much to be honest. If a thread was edited or deleted. A profile edited. For Staff (me only for now) if a thread was moved, stickied, etc. A member registered or even deleted their account.
What does yours say?

Okay. Mine says all that as well. I thought maybe it was a server security log or something like that.

Xenforo has built in tools to notify you of any security abnormalities. I keep an eye on it quite often to make sure everything is on the up and up.

I regularly view the logs on my forums but it's actually quite rare that to find any serious security issues e.g. my busiest forum has logged 771,079 potential problems during the last 6 months but only one was of any consequence and that was a failed DDoS attack.

I do not check everyday as it's no need if website is not that busy

I don't check my logs too often, my sites aren't too active and I don't have any suspicious activity going on in my community. And if I notice a spam bot is trying to join my forums, I just block them. (Though I haven't had this issue using both vBulletin and Xenforo. SMF though on the other hand, does seem to bring in spam bots but accounts must be activated through email or via admin approval so they get deleted right away when I see them trying to join...)

MY sites are not very active, therefore, I don't check my log record. I don't even know where it can be viewed on SMF, PhpBB, and MyBB.
