Do you know of any hosting services that offer security products and addons for your plans if you host with them? How do you feel about such an offering? Do you think it says the host will help make your site secure? Or would you question the need for a host to offer such a service or addon?

Most offers their own that you can buy and add. But then end of the day it's your choice who you go with. SIteLock, well most of us should now SiteLock 🙂 They start from $6.95 for basic to $24.95 for PLus each month. All in all, that's like $595 a year for security and even then you do not know that your site will be safe 😛 other than using the free Cloudflare account XD
