How often do you see a movie in theater/cinema? Do you only go for specific kinds of movies, or do you always go once a month and it not matter what is out?
I'll only go when a real good movie comes out. I went and saw Batman v. Superman last week (OMG ). I'll probably go see Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 this weekend.
After most of 2015 going by without going to the theater, I went 3 weekends in a row for Star Wars (just because it kind of warrants viewing on a large screen), Hateful 8 (for the 70mm experience), and The Revenant (I was looking forward to it for months). 2 nights ago I went to go see 10 Cloverfield Lane at a theatre that serves real food (with waiters!). I'll definitely be going more often because it beats eating crappy popcorn... even though the whole thing cost me about $100 for my gf and I.
Aside from that, nothing beats watching a movie by yourself in a theater in the middle of the day. Try it sometime, its kind of cool.
I don't even remember the last time I even went to a cinema. 😛
I think it can be pretty pricey, plus I have a young child who doesn't sit still for too long, so it wouldn't work out well anyways. I like watching movies in the comfort of my own home. 😉
I think the last movie I saw in theater was actually Cars. It's been a while. The places where I live charge like $10 to see the movie, then if the movie is actually good, you'll have to sit through half an hour of commercials. I just don't see the point of going to see them anymore.
I only go the movie theaters once in a while. I like to go an IMAX theater so it's a little more pricey to go often. I usually will buy the movie on iTunes, Google Play, etc or DVD, and watch it at home.
