When you visit other forums, do you get put off when seeing the same members listed as active? Or does it not matter?

This doesn't bother me much, it shows that people still care about the forum enough that they still want to engage with the community.

I actually like it. It makes me feel I am already part of the community just getting a little late to the party. Even if I haven't crossed a word with many of them or agreed or disagreed with points of views.

That's a nice way of looking at it!

It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s nice to see a core group of people across the same communities. The forum world isn’t very vast currently so odds are, you’ll generally see the same group everywhere.

I wouldn't say it bothers me. FP people are my people, so it's nice to see a familiar face somewhere else. At the same time, if I'm on another forum with the goal of advertising my own forum, it may not be worth my time to promote there. No sense in promoting a site to people that are already on it.

In the forum world, it is very difficult to get exclusive members, unless you are asking them to use a name that they haven't used elsewhere, you will see the same people on multiple forums. I like to see familiar faces, this shows how dedicated they are with forums.

I don't think it's an issue. People interact with the same people on multiple platforms all the time, particularly in the social media space.

I feel better knowing people already on new forums I join.

It's easier to join the community if you will.

I just don't like it when I see some of them knowing everything, they post is AI-generated.

As much as I like AI, and I am pro-technology, I believe AI is a disgrace for forums (and internet content as a whole)

I don't have a problem with AI posts if it's used to help translate a post if the member doesn't speak English well. If it's being used too much, then it throws me off and I'm not really a fan of that.

Exactly my thought. I won't see that as a big issue as well. If I register on different forums, I tend to use my name as username on couple of them.

There are people I know already and LOVE seeing them in various communities. Some of them won't join a junk forum, so it's enticing me to also join.

We tend to see the same members, as we are all from FP, for example, lewhot end up doing exchnages to paid content or just join and help out on new sites that are posted in the directory.

At least we all know who is who 😛 Even if you have different name,s you can tell based on the way they post or what's itheirre content

I like it. It makes me feel more at ease if there's someone I can recognize and, if I can be completely honest, it has helped me dodge bullets too. 😆

But yeah, most of the time it actually excites me! I get to share another corner of the internet with that super cool person I've seen around. It is a good way to gauge a bit of the community and ease me into it. Most of the time even with a name here and there I recognize, each community has its own general feel and new potential friends to meet.

No. We are active on multiple social sites, so why bother about the same thing on forums?

It doesn't bother me, but it's an amber flag when all of the names are from FP. It suggests that the content is only from post packages and exchanges, instead of people interested in the topic.

Not necessarily in all cases. I don't belong to any post packages and I am everywhere 🙂
People genuinely have interests over some topics/niches whether they are paid or not.

This is very common for forums of a similar niche. I recently re-visited four different webmaster forums, and many of the same members are active and post on them. It doesn't necessarily bother me, but it makes me believe that many of the same people are interested in forums, and not many newbies stick around for long. People prefer instant gratification through social media to quality discussions on message boards.
