Self-defense knowledge?

I don't need self-defense; I can always call @Darth John.

I mean I've never really been trained on it or anything, but I've been in fights and had people try to mug me before and always made it out alright.

At the age of 11 or 12 I was press-ganged into joining the Army Cadet Force as it would 'make a man of me'. I was taught how to shoot large calibre and automatic weapons, how to dismantle and clean them blindfold, how to disarm and/or kill people both with and without weapons... all really useful stuff 🙄
To put that in some context, WWII was still very much in the minds of adults back then so it was felt necessary to prepare the next generation for what might come. So my knowledge of self-defence is pretty decent but luckily I haven't had to use it much I'm glad to say.
