When you go to the store, do you pay for your items before you take them out of the store? Yes?
Well I suppose you'd have to buy the site before you can have it.
My advice would be to get the money 1st if you are selling a site. I recently sold my vB license and the person paid me before I had the license transferred into their name.

DON'T USE PAYPAL. They actually don't give a flying crap about anything like sites purchased online, so if you are scammed you don't get your money back.

It's just like doing post exchanges sometimes. With me, I like to wait till they do their end of the deal before I even consider doing mine. Then this way I know that they're trustworthy. Once I go on my forum and see that the member in question has, in fact, did his or her end of the deal, THEN I will register or login to their forum to complete my end. The only way I would go overboard a bit and do my end first is if it's a forum I'm active on and enjoy participating in then I'll do my end first without waiting for a response. It's basically the same thing with a forum or Website selling. It would be wise to wait until you recieved the money before handing over the merchandise. If the money isn't turned over, then I'm sure you can sell the forum to someone else, although I don't know how that quite works either.
